The IBM thinkpad that I got in 2000 had an eraser-ball thingy instead of a mouse, and in the instructions there was a line to the effect of "When you release the eraser ball, the curser may drift a little bit. Don't worry, this isn't a bug!" Uh, dear IBM: clearly it is a bug you decided not to fix. Ha.
